Also known as the Alley of the Baobabs, a tour of this must see place is one of the best travel experiences in Madagascar
There are unique places in this World and one can only imagine how great would be to list them all and experience them live.
One of those must sees is the impressive Baobab avenue in Madagascar and all the surrounding baobabs in all shapes and heights. What is incredible is that among the 8 existing species in the World, 7 are present in Madagascar and 6 of them can only be found on this island.

And to have 25 of these trees lined up along 260 meters of this dirt road is nowhere to be seen, with amazing effects at sunrise, midday and sunset, they seem always to look different and even more amazing to experience. If you plan a short stay to take some pictures. believe me you would wish that you planned longer because there are so many angles to see. I went there on all occasions and really loved every second there namely sunset.

The best thing is not only this avenue that is impressive. there are other attraction points nearby and every baobab looks different, perhaps due to most of these trees living up to 800 years old. So you also have the “baobab amoureux” or “Loving Baobabs” and many other beautiful trees nearby
Hints: How to get there is easy from Morondova, the nearest city that has an airport – you can get a taxi, it will cost 10-15 € for a return trip. For the bravest. hring a car is also an option, but the road can be rough. There are no public transportations here
And for those with a night to spend, do stay one night at the Kirindy Forest Reserve Lodge nearby, where you can see among others the Giant white Lemur and some cute night lemurs, chamaleons and other reptiles. But that you need to see a different post, bute here is a sneak preview…
